We have been doing lots of drama in our topic about the Romans. On Tuesday we took advantage of an unusual sunny October afternoon and acted out a Celt village on the eve of a Roman invasion!  

Children became cooks, blacksmiths, farmers and weavers and were asked a crucial question. Fight or surrender? After some discussion, most of us decided to fight!

We then found out that just like us, some Celts fought against the Romans and others simply surrendered.... only to later be conquered by Emperor Claudius.
