Sophie Stewart came into school . She has written a book called the Best Kept Secret. It is a narrative poem about a dragon that lives  in the Clitheroe Cement works. The book was very exciting - about dragons, witches and full of mystery. All the juniors listened to Sophie read her book. Everyone got the chance to dress up as witches. Some children took on characters from the book and read out parts. Sophie let all the children cast a spell and out of the cauldron popped a baby dragon. We also got the opportunity to ask Sophie questions about how she became an author and what inspired her to write her book. Sophie said that it was her son that inspired her to write the book when he asked what the smoke was coming out of the cement works chimney.
