As a Mercy School, we encourage our children to think of others in their thoughts and in their actions.

 

We raise funds or collect donations for various charities throughout the year.

 

At Harvest time this year, we collected food and essential items for Burnley Community Grocery, a charity which supports the needy in our local area.

 

Our Christmas 2023 Charity was Pendleside Hospice.

We raised £1772 for this great local cause.

 

Our Lenten and Ramadan charity this year was UNICEF.  The pupils completed a sponsored walking event raising £1780.26 for this very important international charity.

 

In Autumn 2023,  we fundraised for the national charity - Children with Cancer UK - by holding a cake sale and having a pyjama day.  We were thrilled to send them £572.94.

 

Our School Council also co-ordinates an ongoing food collection for Burnley Community Grocery Foodbank in Burnley.
